i think that microsoft mite be lining bungie up for a launch game for the next xbox! i would think that microsoft will launch new hardware sometime in late 2010, and we're nearly half way through 08 already. considering how slow bungie are at making games, they would need the the headstart...lol
but more importantly, bungie games have shifted hardware and have made a container load of cash. and having a halo title to help launch microsofts next xbox would definately be a good thing...
did'nt take so much commision from the developer if they added an on-line component to the game! i could be wrong though. anyway, you get what you pay for imo, and live is a great service. i've been a subscriber since 04, and have not worried about the price period.
and it seems to be that more games perform better, and have better functionality on live than they do on psn, making it appear the better service.
perhaps the question should be reversed, how long can/will so...
and it does sound like some serious sour grapes on our part! the labour government is trying tax every body into being only able to afford to live in a cave. old people freeze to death because they can't afford they're energy bills in winter, it costs hauliers and bus companys £200 per day to take their vehicles inside the M25 if they're over 12 years old. they cost of living in that sh1t-hole is beyond belief... i'm glad i've left england, and will never go back!

no one can predict anything! and we should all wait til the npd figures arrive. it will undoutably shift hardware on both sides. but if you were just to go on the amount of consooles...then logic would say that it will sell more copies on for the 360 because there's alot more of them sitting under tvs!

after reading what gets said about them on here, i would've thought that they would be the last place you'd want to provide a link to? oh, and i'm sure that the ps3 is'nt selling anything like the ps2 was. i know it's painful for people like yourself, but the 360 won't fail, and will be around, and still eating into sonys market share(just like nintendo is!), until microsoft release their next console in 2010.

i said pretty damn big in the uk! and it is. fact! as i said, the rest of the eu is sonys, and even so, don't delude yourself, the sales margins are'nt that great! if it wasn't for the 360s failure in japan, and it's numbers added to the monthly world-wide sales figures, the margins would be even slimmer across the globe.
if you broke down the eu into countries, you will find that the uk spends most, and is probably the biggest market there.

the 360 is very very popular in the uk! nearly everyone i know who is into gaming has one, plus a live account! and like me, all these people had and loved their ps2s. and like you said, considering it's been around a year longer, and is probably only being outsold(let's see what the npd say) by a couple of thousand, shows just how popular it's become! europe will be sonys for a bit longer, but in the uk the ps3 has a fight on it's hands.

because no doubt sony forced them into releasing something! it does seem a little desperate imo. sony wanted the ps3 to shine in 08, and gt is part of the gloss! gt is a major franchise for sony, and i don't think they wanted to wait for the real game. as it's another year away. gtp is a product of itchy feet. perhaps this is what sony are using to counter a multi-platform gta??

microsoft will undoubtably release new hardware in 2010. and i would think that it will be a powerful bit of kit. then sony will have no choice but to try and trump them. i can't see them going any other way. if microsoft released a console that was along the lines of the wii, then sony would destroy them! and vice versa.
as someone else said, they make their money from royalties on software! and can afford to take the hit on hardware...until the manufacturing process gets cheaper....

and i do agree with most of that! i don't really know anything about lbp so i can't comment. but boy are you gonna lose bubbles over that lol. you can't diss sony favourites like that in here! sony have forced polophony digital to release a gran tourismo demo(and microsoft get called desperate!!!), and it's true that apart from graphics, the franchise has'nt changed in 10 years. and even though i got bored with forza after a while, the gt games have bored me alot more. imo forza was a better ...
probably means that it's getting alot of ps3 owners playing it! i very much doubt that it's more than the 360s numbers. still, cod4 is an excellent game, and after i've wrote this, i've got an hour on it before the missus gets home!
